The TreeLibrary
What would you do, if a tree in your garden dies? Sharalee Howard works at the public library of Coeur d’Alene in Idaho (USA). When a tree in her garden died, she decided to give it a second life and she built inside of it a small library, where everyone can pick up a book and leave there another one. She added a glass door and a lamp so that also in the night the people are able to check the books inside of the trunk. The library is part of the “Little Free Library” project. There are more than 75.000 of these kind of small libraries in the whole world! If you want to find out one closed to you, check this link: Little Free Library. |
